VOV.VN - In 2004, the Ankroet Hydroelectric Power Plant in Lang Biang Ward, Lam Dong province, was recognized by the Vietnam Book of Records as the country’s first hydroelectric power plant. Today, it has also become a popular check-in spot for many young visitors in Da Lat.

Construction of the Ankroet Hydroelectric Power Plant began in October 1942, and it was inaugurated in 1945 before officially starting electricity generation the following year.
