According to the schedule, the tournament will involve the participation of 70 athletes and coaches from 14 countries, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Japan, Laos, Macau (China), the Maldives, Mongolia, Singapore, Timor Leste, Sri Lanka, and host nation Vietnam.

The four best teams will earn tickets to compete in the final round of the competition, which is expected to take place in India from April 8 to April 17.

The competition will provide Vietnamese players with an opportunity to hone their professional skills whilst learning from the experience of competing against strong foreign rivals in preparation for regional and international events.
