VOV.VN - Designer Christopher Chronis of Australia left a positive impression with the unveiling of her latest collection “Sultry Sai Gon nights” to conclude the Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week (AVIFW) Spring/Summer 2023.
Australian designer Christopher Chronis (L)’s show closes the Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week (AVIFW) Spring/Summer 2023, with the event attracting the participation of 16 international and Vietnamese designers.
His collection known as “Sultry Sai Gon nights” draws inspiration from the lives of people in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Sai Gon, in the 1990s.
The collection also aims to mark the 50th anniversary of joint diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Australia.
The closing show introduces a total of 70 impressive designs in vivid colours from the collection.
The event gets underway in Ho Chi Minh City from July 13 to July 17, marking the 15th show of Vietnam International Fashion Week (VIFW).
The collections feature ready-to-wear designs which are inspired by the natural landscapes across the country. All designs are made from eco-friendly materials.
Besides, international designers join with Vietnamese colleagues as they introduce their new collections to local people. Their collections follow sustainable fashion trends which mean the supply, production, and consumption of fashion products designed in a way that ensures environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
The Vietnam International Fashion Week was first held in 2014, and quickly became the leading fashion event in ASEAN. It ranks fourth in Asia after Tokyo, Seoul, and Shanghai fashion weeks.
