VOV.VN - An international flower arrangement contest taking place as part of World Flower Council Summit 2023, the first event held in the nation, got underway in Da Lat on September 10, with the occasion attracting 200 local and foreign floral designers from across the world.
Floral designer Phuong Linh represents the country by competing in the flower arrangement contest. The 37th World Flower Council Summit takes place in Da Lat from September 8 to September 12, marking the first event to be held in Vietnam.
A piece makes uses of bamboo and popular flowers in Da Lat City. The contest jointly organised by the World Flower Council (WFC) and Da Lat University draws the participation of 200 local and foreign floral designers from 18 countries worldwide.
A work introducing the country’s traditional culture is created by a Singaporean floral designer. The World Flower Council Summit 2023 is running with the theme of “Vietnam-Blooming with timeless charm” and welcomes more than 500 attendees who are famous designers, experts, flower arrangement artists, and scientists from across the globe.
An impressive piece is created by a designer from the Philippines. The summit will also have a demonstration of flower arrangements opening with the theme of “My Country Design”, as presented by 18 floral designers representing 18 countries.
A work by a Japanese designer leaves a positive impression on viewers. The event’s highlighted activity will be a flower fashion show featuring designs made of flowers, Vietnamese traditional costumes, as well as music and dance performances.
A wide range of activities will be organised during the course of the five-day function, including a floral display, as well as a workshop on fruit, vegetable, and flower design.
The World Flower Council Summit aims to honour the values of flowers and the flower industry, whilst maintaining the mission of spreading world peace and sharing both love and knowledge about flowers.
